Four years passed. Shreya turned her heartbreak into a lethal academic weapon. She cracked the GATE exam with an All India Rank of 42, joined IIT Madras for a direct PhD in Machine Learning, and successfully defended her thesis by age twenty-six. She returned to Vijayawada as Dr. Shreya Kamineni, having signed a massive corporate contract as a Senior Research Scientist in Hyderabad.
